Hi there. OK, I am using a despicably old version (5.2.2), but that is what I am stuck with for the time being. I just attempted a IPv6-enabled build using SPRO, and to my great amusement, the IPv6 files (snmpTCPIPv6Domain.c and snmpUDPIPv6Domain.c) files did not compile. For the rest, it seems to have compiled OK. My build command looks something like this:
CC=/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc ./configure -prefix=$TARGET -with-defaults -with-mibs=":" -with-mibdirs=":" -with-out-mib-modules="ucd_snmp" - with-openssl=$OPENSSL -with-zlib=$ZLIB -disable-agent -with-cc=/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -enable-ipv6 So, before I get too far underwater here, is there anything else I need to do to get IPv6 transport support compiled in? Does it require upversioning? Assuming I get the v6 support compiled in OK, will I be able to use the tools (snmpwalk, snmpget, etc) with IPv6 addresses? As you can surmise from this email, I am new to building net-snmp. Your help is greatly and urgently appreciated. Cheers, Ron
