Hi. I just tried to run the test suite, and the perl tests failed.
Perl Unix Domain Socket Test ...................................... Can't locate SNMP.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.10 /usr/share/perl/5.10 /usr/local/lib/site_perl . /usr/local/src/net-snmp/perl/testing/fulltests/perl /usr/local/src/net-snmp/perl/testing/fulltests/support) at /usr/local/src/net-snmp/perl/testing/fulltests/perl/NetSNMPTestTransport.pm line 15. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/src/net-snmp/perl/testing/fulltests/perl/NetSNMPTestTransport.pm line 15. Compilation failed in require at /usr/local/src/net-snmp/perl/testing/fulltests/perl/T105unix.t line 14. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/src/net-snmp/perl/testing/fulltests/perl/T105unix.t line 14. Perl Unix Domain Socket Test ...................................... Dubious, test returned 2 (wstat 512, 0x200) No subtests run The problem seems to be that I hadn't installed net-snmp prior to running the test suite but I do believe that the test suite should be runnable prior to net-snmp beeing installed. On another host the tests also ended up in the summary report with the same log (different perl version, same problem) but there I think the problem is that the test was run in the first place since the following part of configure-summary explains the situation: Embedded Perl support: disabled SNMP Perl modules: disabled /MF ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ThinkGeek and WIRED's GeekDad team up for the Ultimate GeekDad Father's Day Giveaway.
