The option is not recognised by snmpd:
snmpd.conf: line 7: Warning: Unknown token: doNotRetainNotificationLogs.
This seems to be a flag for the snmptrapd process...
I tried starting the snmpd with the -Fn flag but I still get the memory leak :-(

If that binary was configured with notification logging, then it could be that
it's not leaking, but simply saving traps. Try adding this line to your
snmpd.conf and seeing if the leak goes away:
doNotRetainNotificationLogs yes
