Some progress with this:

   Solaris:
       "./configure --without-openssl"
allows almost all of the tests to succeed (or be skipped)
The only one that failed was T072com2secunix_simple
(not ok 12 - found 0 copies of 'line 11: Error: sockpath too
long' in output; expected 1)

   HP-UX:
       "./configure --disable-embedded-perl"
allows almost all of the tests to suceed (or be skipped)
The only one that failed was T115agentxperl_simple
(not ok 2 - found 0 copies of 'hello world' in output; expected 1)
(not ok 4 - found 0 copies of 'hello again world' in output; expected 1)

   MacOS X:
       "./configure --disable-embedded-perl"
allows all of the tests to suceed (or be skipped)

Maybe these latter two environments should default to excluding the embedded
perl support? (Unless we can track down and fix the underlying issues)

Dave
