Please help with regard to snmp.I changed some of the file systems on AIX to cio and SNMP stopped walking when it gets to the hrStoragetable We downloaded the version 5.6.1 but did not have any success.I proceeded to load the Patch RC2 for the same version but still no luck. I upgareded the O/S from ver 5300-08 to 5300-12 thinking that this could be the problem.with the upgrade we had problem with HDLM disk management software being too old for the level of the O/S.We proceeded to upgrade the hdlm to version 6.1 which caused a number og changes.Firstly the old version made duplicates of all the hdisks to dlmdrv drives which effectively sort of doubled the number of disks if you do a lsdev command.With the new version of hdlm the duplicates fell away and hdlm made use of the disks just as it was originally.I don't know if this changes now caused broblems with the configuration files of SNMP.I don't know where to go and look for the config files as I believe that somthing must now be changed as far as the number of disks are concerned. Your help will greatly be appreciated as I have been battling with this for the past two weeks and we cannot do any monitoring of our systems.
