I am working on configuring net-snmp:
It seems the problem comes about when I tried with a long security name:
My security name is: sec_testuser_ hss01hssdhusahalcate
So my snmpd.conf is:
#com2sec NAME SOURCE COMMUNITY
com2sec sec_testuser_ hss01hssdhusahalcate 127.0.0.1 testuser
#group NAME MODEL SECURITY
group testgroup v2c sec_testuser_ hss01hssdhusahalcate
But there is an error in messages:
snmpd[15233]: snmpd.conf: line 4: Error: failed to create group entry.
Could you please tell me: is there about the limit on the length of
configured username?
Or is there a manual about the limitation?
Why it failed to create group entry?
