All:
I've been seeing random issues with Net-SNMP (v5.4.2.1) running on
"Windows 6.1" (as reported by a Microsoft agent).
Every once in a while, when walking the tree (snmpwalk), I see it stop
with problems on ifIndex. (BTW. it happened on other columns in the
ifTable when I explicitly walked those columns too.)
.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.17 = INTEGER: 17
.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.18 = INTEGER: 18
.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.18 = INTEGER: 5
Error: OID not increasing: .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.18
>= .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.18
Restarting Net-SNMP resolves the issue until some time in the future...
it happens again. Once 'in the mode', it seems that only a restart
will get it out of it. Also, I cannot re-create the problem on-demand.
I know this is a 3+ year old version, but that's what they are running
primarily because there are no pre-built Windows binaries available of
anything more 'current'.
Was this a known problem?
Has it been fixed?
Are there any recent Windows binaries available anywhere?
TIA
Fulko
