To Whom It May Concern,
Good day, I'm fairly new to snmp and currently tackling some
maintenance and bug fix tasks on our snmp agent. I think I failed to
see snmp get bulk or some similar bulk command documentation. I know
snmp get next takes the next OID not the current. Is snmp get bulk
similar. Cause while trying to reproduce a bug I've noticed this and
its not consistent. At times it does not display the next OID but the
current but at times its output is the next OID. For example an OID of
1.3.6.1.4.1.1971.6.2.9.115.6 is a table. snmpgetbulkget will display
snmp 1.3.6.1.4.1.1971.6.2.9.116.1 ... 1.3.6.1.4.1.1971.6.2.9.116.10.
The number of out is equal to the number of column of
1.3.6.1.4.1.1971.6.2.9.115.6. At times it is the variables bulk data.
Thank you for any info or clarification you can provide.
Regards,
Dennis

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
