Hi,
The problem is that when we trying to install net-snmp package 5.4.1 on
UBUNTU version: 11.04 ,we are getting an error message as below,
Installation steps: Run following commands on unix prompt to install the
package
1) ./configure
After running this, it will ask for configuration, just keep on hitting
enter key for default configuration
Finally you will get configuration details for net-snmp package to be
installed.
2) make
*PROBLEM*: when you run make, at the end it will showing follwing error
creating *libnetsnmpagent.la*
/bin/sed: can't read Related/SNMP_Downloads/net-snmp/net-snmp-5.4.1/snmplib/
*libnetsnmp.la*: No such file or directory
libtool: link: `Related/SNMP_Downloads/net-snmp/net-snmp-5.4.1/snmplib/*
libnetsnmp.la*' is not a valid libtool archive
make[1]: *** [*libnetsnmpagent.la*] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/prashant/Desktop/SNMP_
Related/SNMP_Downloads/net-snmp/net-snmp-5.4.1/agent'
make: *** [subdirs] Error 1
