Hi,
Thanks for responding..

source?

>Ah.. ok, 5.3.2.2 is a rather old release, and is unsupported. Can you
reproduce this on a more recent release?
I have upgraded to NET-SNMP to 5.7.
And it seems to be solving the snmpd crashing problem.
And the agent is not returning any error also.
I think that was caused by the old version.
Some more queries..
I was able to set the IP of eth1 interface of a n/w device.
snmpset ... ipAddressIfIndex.ipv4.4.10.10.10.30 = 3
ipAddressRowStatus.ipv4.4.10.10.10.30 = createAndGo
It creates the new IP with the default subnet mask and broadcast
address.
But we are using a different one.
How do we set custom values to Broadcast Address and Subnet Mask?
And when setting the new IP, a new instance of this interface is created
as eth1:1 (found from ifconfig command)
Is there any way to set the eth1 itself; instead of creating a new
eth1:1?
Now we are setting the IP from IP-MIB.
Is this functionality available in IF-MIB?
Thanks and Regards,
Basil Joseph
