I'm testing my pass_persist agent and having a lot of weird errors.
This is with a test agent that basically logs the commands sent on the
pipe and responds with a canned response.
When using Scotty, we are getting lots of queries with retries and
timeout, and the snmpd.log file contains a lot of these messages:

Sometimes, however, it *works*. The agent itself is getting called, but
with Scotty it often gets called with a new PING, so apparently Scotty
is reinitializing.
Does this behavior ring a bell for anyone?
