Hi,

We have recently started with net-snmp. I am not sure if I am using correct
terminology while explaining my problem.

We are developing a product with embedded Linux and we need to provide snmp
functionality in it. Naturally, net-snmp was a natural choice. We do realize
that RFC MIBs that we needed to support are present in already, and with
little RTFM efforts, it started working.

Now, for some of the variables, we need to provide some custom responses, by
calling a third party SDK, ( Some phys are hidden from Linux OS ) and we
need to provide handlers for them .

So we need to 'unregister' the default handler and 'register' our handler.

What is the best way to do it ? I could not find good documentation for this
kind of situation.

Is it good idea to modify the source ? Do we need to release the source ? (
GPL terms ? etc. )

Thanks and Regards,

Bhushan
