Hi All,

Would like to ask a question on the handling of
hostname in net-snmp.

can i assume that the snmpd will grab the hostname of
the device during the daemon started, and remains
returning that value to incoming request?

if there is a need to reflect the hostname (return
current hostname to the request) after the chaning on
the system, for e.g. redhat 9, what can be done? is
there function call to update the info?

thanks!!

SK
