[ First - *please* don't mail me privately, without copying
         any responses to the mailing list. I don't have the time
         or inclination to offer private, unpaid, SNMP consultancy.
         Keep discussions to the list, where others can both learn
         and offer advice.  Thanks.   ]

No. If you're happy to use the "exec/execfix" approach, then you
don't *need* to create a new private MIB. The necessary MIB is
already defined and implemented.

> and the exec and exec fix lines are to be written in the snmpd.conf right ?

Yes.

Correct.

I don't know - it depends on how your agent is configured.
(At a guess, it's probably '1', but it might not be).

Try

        snmpwalk .... UCD-SNMP-MIB::extTable

and this should show what value to use for N.

> And as soon as we do the set will it restart the system?

It should do, yes.
