Well, first of all you should realise that 'hrSensor' is *not* a valid part of the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB. This MIB is an official IETF standard, and can only be changed by a process of discussion and concensus in the relevant working group. This MIB group appears to have been added unilaterally to the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB by RedHat, something that they *really* should not have done. > When I issue a query I have the following response: > > $ snmpwalk -v 2c -c cluster 127.0.0.1 .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.8 > HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSensor = No Such Object available on this agent at > this OID > > Does anyone have a clue so I can get this to work? Google is your friend. A couple of searches led me to: http://people.redhat.com/harald/snmp-lmsensors/ucd-snmp-4.1.2-sensor.patch which appears to add support for this (bogus) group to the UCD agent. It should work fine with the Net-SNMP code as well. But I'll repeat that this is *not* an appropriate step for RedHat to have taken, and we will not contemplate including this patch within the Net-SNMP distribution.
