Hi, I wanted to provide my own implementation for the interfaces MIB. As suggested in the list I have used the -I -interface option and it seems to be working fince except for the scalr ifNUmber in if group. What I observed is, even after starting the snmpd with the above option, when an snmpget on ifNumber is issued, var_interfaces() defined in interfaces.c is being called. For the ifTable, NET-SNMP library is calling the instrumentation routine that I supplied as part of the REGISTER_MIB().
Is this a known problem with ifNumber? Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas on this will be greatly appreciated.
