Why not? The octet values are the same in both cases, surely? If you've tried this and found it's not working, then maybe we'd do better discussing some real values. What is the exact -E parameter that you specified ? What is the contextEngineId octet string that is sent in the first request? What is the contextEngineId octet string that is sent in the second request? (Run the command with '-d' to dump the outgoing packet, or '-Ddump' to display a formatted version).
