But it ought to be replaced with an equivalent "usmUser" line,
which has much the same effect (but doesn't include readable
versions of the passwords).

You certainly shouldn't lose users on a reboot.
Perhaps if you do "kill -9" <shudder>, but not if the agent is
shut down cleanly.
