That's pretty much what I reported on 3/30:

./configure --with-default-snmp-version="2"
make
umask 022       #as root
make install

cd net-snmp-5.1.1/perl
/usr/local/bin/perl Makefile.PL # make sure I have the right version
make
make install  # as root
make test
