SNMP trap address uses eth0 as source address by default

Iam currently using net-snmp 5.0.8 and found that the SNMPtrap application 
uses the eth0 address as default even though that address may not actually 
be reachable.

I believe this is a known limitation? Or has this been fixed inthe new 
releases?

Any help/input would be greatly appreciated
