Impossible, this could potentially break many already working places in snmptrapd.
It is just easier to modify the snmptrapd code & try if it works.
In any case, I did my work using 3.X something version. The way library works has changed a little bit from that.
Also the necessary code (pthread_create etc) apparently not exist in the
current version.
