No, it is not. JJJ> If not readily possible, how feasible is it to add a PAM (pluggable JJJ> Authentication Module) layer to the Agent to accomplish the same? JJJ> (at-least for v3 mode?) There is currently a working group starting up in the IETF that is looking at something similar. It is more generic, but uisng local authentication for SNMPv3 is one of the options that may be explored. See http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/isms-charter.html However, the IETF is not know for rapid deployment. In other words, don't hold your breath waiting for this. ;-) -- Robert Story; NET-SNMP Junkie <http://www.net-snmp.org/> <irc://irc.freenode.net/#net-snmp> Archive: <http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum=net-snmp-users> You are lost in a twisty maze of little standards, all different. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IT Product Guide on ITManagersJournal Use IT products in your business?
