The problem is that the 'extensible' module is written using the
old v4 API, so it's difficult to make use of the new cache helpers.

The obvious approach would be to re-implement "extensible" using the
new v5 approach (and hence be able to use the cache helpers).   But
that model isn't very well suited to implementing illegal MIB structures
(quite reasonably!), which is why I ended up writing a completely new
MIB for this.

Personally I think the best policy is to deprecate the UCD extTable
as fast as humanly possible.
