I tried both methods. Then I started the trap daemon
and administratively shut down an interface. But my
program still doesnt get called up.

Further, the only location of snmptrapd.conf is under
the /var/net-snmp subdirectory. Should I copy this
file to another location? The thing I dont understand
is, a couple of months back, this was working
perfectly fine. Why do I encounter these errors all of
a sudden?

Thanks in advance for all the help and suggestions.
