It's "imminent". 5.2.pre3 is intended as the last of the pre-releases, and we plan to have the first release candidate (5.2.rc1) available within the next week (assuming things don't slip). Based on the feedback from that, there may need to be another release candidate, but we're hoping to have the proper 5.2 release out within the first half of November. But that very much depends on *you* (plural) trying these pre-releases and release-candidates out on your various kit, and reporting any problems that you might experience. The core development team only have access to a limited range of systems, and part of the strength of this project lies in the readiness of the wider community to share in the development and testing. It's probably fair to say that most bugs will probably need to wait for 5.2.1 - it wouldn't be sensible to hold up the 5.2 release until everything was working perfectly. But we do need to know about show-stoppers - particularly problems that cause the compilation to fail completely, or the agent to crash.
