Do you have the chance to check if you also see this problem with
5.2.rc1?
Also, a few other ideas:
- Does
env SNMPCONFPATH=/usr/local/share/snmp \
/usr/local/sbin/snmptrapd -Lo -f -Dall -On
work any better for you?
- Have you double-checked (with ps or pgrep) that snmptrapd
has really exited?
- You may want to run snmptrapd under a debugger to see where/why
it exits
