Can't help on the cisco cide, but this page talks about configuring trap
handlers.

Net-SNMP also comes with a 'traptoemail' script which can be used to send email
for traps. Try 'which traptoemail' to find it.
Put a line like the following in your snmptrapd.conf file:
traphandle TRAPOID|default /usr/local/bin/traptoemail [-f FROM] [-s
SMTPSERVER] ADDRESSES
FROM defaults to "root"
SMTPSERVER defaults to "localhost"
