[...]I'm currently writing a small daemon which will be able to answer snmpd(8) about one or more MIBs using the "pass_persist protocol" according to its configuration file. The idea is to avoid writing code each time you want to implement a new own MIB.
I wrote it for my work and thus it currently uses private libraries. I'm planning to rewrite it in C in the next weeks since my boss agreed.
If you already have a Perl implementation, why not utilize the embedded perl support available in Net-SNMP 5.x?
