I'm using NetSNMP 5.0.9 on a 64bit (Itanium) Linux machine. The example
subagent downloaded from
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/tutorial/tutorial-5/toolkit/demon/index.html
does not work.

The example compiles fine. When executed, the master agent showed lot of debug
info (-Dagentx), which I think corresponds to MIB registration requests from
the example subagent.

However, when I try to snmpget
"NET-SNMP-TUTORIAL-MIB::nstAgentSubagentObject.0", I get "no such name" error.
In the master agent's log I didn't not find any communication/packets being
sent to the subagent.

I guess the problem's with the registration of OIDs. Was there any known issue
with this verion (5.0.9?). The Changelog for 5.0.9 shows "Various 64 bit issues
have been addressed".

The same code worked fine with 5.0.8. I'm using RH EL 3.0. Any pointers would
be appreciated.

  Thanks
 Jaiber John
