So where did you change the software - on the server doing the monitoring, or
on the 70 hosts being monitored?
Did you remove the slackware package before installing from source? Did it
remove the old libraries? Make sure you don't have duplicates by running
ls /usr/lib/*snmp* /usr/local/lib/*snmp*
There should only be snmp libraries in one or the other, not both.
