That shouldn't break the walk. The agent should recover and skip the squid stuff. Can you submit a bug report on this?
Further research shows that the agent calls my routine many times
with the same OID, receiving a NULL return each time, before
moving on. I have to walk a 5000-entry table through an IPC
mechanism before I know I have nothing to return, so it's these
10 calls that result in the timeout. Unfortunately, I have two
back-to-back tables of the same sort that may both be empty
(at least on my idle test machine). I don't understand the purpose
of the multiple calls, unless this is code used in common with
the AgentX interface?
