I can use a GUI program called "MG-SOFT MIB Browser" from MG-SOFT Corporation and things work. I did have to compile the edir.mib file from Novell with MG-SOFT's "MIB Complier" (which created a file called EDIRECTORY-MIB.smidb).
Is my issue now related to the fact that the edir.mib file from Novell need to be converted into a edir-mib.txt format like the other mibs in the \share\snmp\mibs folder?
Look into the edir.mib file how the MIB name is defined. Based on your MG-Soft testing, it's likely "EDIRECTORY-MIB". If so, rename edir.mib to EDIRECTORY-MIB.txt, put it into the \share\snmp\mibs folder and call snmpget with "-m +EDIRECTORY-MIB".
