Hi All,
We are using net-snmp-5.1.2 , RedHat 9.0 . Our problem is, when
get is issued during bulk trap generation the request times-out. After
this scenario the snmpd is not processing any more snmp get/getnext.

What we observed on snmpd after this problem occurred is

1) Either the snmpd goes into continues loop. The output of the
snmpd.log is pasted below.

Received 0 bytes from Local IPC: /var/agentx/master
2005-04-18 15:09:53

2) Or snmpd receives the request(from the manager) but not forwarding
the response back to the manager. We also observed that the received
request is sent to the subagent and the response from the sub-agent is
also received by the snmpd.

What finally we have concluded is if a trap is sent to the snmpd when it
is waiting for a get response.

Is this a known problem if so please let me know the fix.

Is there any API which will tell that snmpd is waiting for response?
