First thing - that release is *VERY* old by now.
Things have moved on a lot since then.
At the very least, you should be using the most recent 4.2.x
release (4.2.6) rather than 4.2.3. But even that's basically
obsolete. All development activity has been concentrating
on the 5.x lines.
We'd *STRONGLY* recommend you use one of those - ideally
the most recent release (5.2.1).

Did you find a file 'snmpd' in the agent directory?
If not, then it looks as if the agent compilation failed.
Try
(cd agent ; make )
and have a look at the output.
Is there anything that looks like an error message?
But I'd suggest that you don't waste your time with an
out-of-date release. Try with 5.2.1, which may well
have improved support for cross-compiling.
