No - I don't think that will work. >From what you've described, 'hfcreset' is basically a control object - a push button. You haven't said anything about what value it will return when you *read* it. That's what the "monitor" directive is concerned with - reading object values. But note that if the 'hfcreset' handler has the effect of restarting the agent, then this will automatically generate a coldStart trap anyway. So I don't quite see the point of your monitor entry.
