The second varbind in an SNMPv2-format trap *must* be snmpTrapOID.0 - see RFC 1905, section 4.2.6.
It certainly does! That's the answer I wanted to see. :)
I think the error message could be enhanced to say something like "Cannot find SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 in TRAP2 PDU".
