Many thanks for your reply Bert, I have now had a chance to experiment
further with this.

My question now is, which OID do I use? If I use the one mentioned in
the man page then snmpd says it does not exist. Do I need to modify the
MIB to create the .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.255 entry that the manual page
refers to?
