Let total size of all executed file < 1MB

hi:
        I porting the net-snmp into  the embedded system
        The flash size is 4MB
         I set the command:
                                               ./configure 
--enable-mini-agent.........
         
         but it is too big 
         Before to add net-snmp, the total size of image is 1.9MB  
         Than I put the net-snmp in the target directory
         The total size of image is up to 5MB
         How can I do to  decrease the size of image?
         Can I remove  some executed files? 
         please help me
