Inventory of Cisco Devices

Hi All   I'd like to build up and maintain an inventory of our Cisco routers and switches based on SNMP and Perl.   Does anyone know if there are some tmplates around or even some free tools to do this?   I already have some experiences with MRTG and Perl.
