Dear matt,

I have seen you mail in mailist!
I also used pass_persist + perl script to add my own mib.
The snmpget run OK but snmpset has one problem.
That is it returns set ok whenever the set operation is success or not!

My cmd line is as followed :
                snmpset -v 2c -c private -m all localhost lvRowStatus.10 i 5 \
**** the values of my mibs

                        lvRowStatus.10 i 2
The meaning is announce append a new line in my mib table first ,then
insert the values of the fields
when the values are ready , do a opration with the valuee finally.

My question is how to reponse error in my perl sricpt when my operation is
failed!
                I print "NONE\n" or "not-writable" ,
both they did nothting , and reponse successful.

Sorry , because my english is poor , i don't know whether i explain my
meaning clearly.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

   Thanks,

   quhp
