Is the problem definitely fixed in 5.1.3 then ? Re the code similarity, Matt copied the WIN32 version of get_myaddr() in 5.1.2 snmplib/system.c and modified it to work on Solaris (the #else after #ifdef oldVersionThatDoesnotWork), perhaps that's why it looks like the code in 5.1.3.
