To answer your first question:

Please, don't get me started. :) It's a work server,
and I didn't install net-snmp on it, and getting the
"people" who could upgrade it (I think it's an older
version) to actually do would require divine
intervention... Or at least the intervention of
someone further up the food chain then my bosses boss.
Rant over. Second question:

row-creating when you ran mib2c? If not, save your old
code and re-run mib2c, making sure to enable row
creation.
I didn't do it explicitly, no. I ran:
env MIBS="ALL" mib2c -c mib2c.mfd.conf myTable
I looked on the man page for mib2c (both the installed
one on our server, and the one on the web page), and
didn't see how to do it. Can you tell me how?
