well, i've been victim of a network bofh. i can acces with snmp all machines from my nagios box. all... but one.
so sorry for bothering this list with something that has nothing to do with snmp but with colleges that call himself friends but cut your traffic when you're not looking. the moral: only because they call you friend doesn't mean you have opened all the ports you need. thx for your answers anyway. ----mensaje original--- Fecha: Fri, 19 Aug 2005 10:27:12 -0400 (EDT) De: Brian A. Do the logs on the remote side reflect a request coming in? Try to do a tcpdump(8) on all 3 machines: # tcpdump -i [whatever interface] -n 'port 161' Try disabling any firewalling services in redhat (netscreen, ipchains, whatever.) ~BAS ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-users mailing list Net-snmp-users@lists.sourceforge.net Please see the following page to unsubscribe or change other options: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-users ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-users mailing list Net-snmp-users@lists.sourceforge.net Please see the following page to unsubscribe or change other options: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-users
