Hi, I have two set ups Manager is v3. Host1, Host2 and Host3 are v2. Proxy supports v2 and v3 implemented using net-snmp.
The first setup is as follows. The main job of proxy 1. Conversion from v2 to v3 and viceversa. 2. Routing the requests to the appropriate Host. Manager | | Proxy-------------------- | | | | | | | | | Host1 Host2 Host3 The second setup is as follows. Here the proxy just acts as v2 to v3 converter and viceversa. Manager--------------- | | | | | | Proxy Proxy Proxy | | | | | | | | | Host1 Host2 Host3 I would like to know which setup will have minimum cpu utilization and call processing impact, considering that in future that these hosts might talk to Manager directly using v3.
