Robert

It was SELinux - Turned it off and all works

If you have a config entry that would be good, otherwise I am happy to leave
off for now

1) What does the snmpd.conf configuration line look like?

2) What level do you have SELinux configured to?
   a) any SELinux error messages in /var/log/messages
   b) if you disable selinux, does it work ok?

I'm guessing it's something to do with #2, and we're going to need a new FAQ
entry on configuring SELinux to work with net-snmp.

You are lost in a twisty maze of little standards, all different.
