Eh?   That doesn't make sense.
The data in the response packet will *always* be modified
when processing a (successful) GET or GETNEXT request.
That's the whole point of the request.

But you're quite correct that the data in a SET response
will be the same as in the original request.  This is part
of the SNMP specification, and can't be changed.
