Hello,
I've got some difficulty to install last version :
may somebody point on my mistake, please ?
I would imagine it might be to some libs versions conflicts ?
but I do not see how to jump over
Linux MDK 10.1 + net-snmp-5.1.2 installed by *i586.mdk.rpm's
(but without source files..... MDK wipped them ?)
Trying to compile version 5.2.1.2 (lastest 5.2.1.2 source code [Notes]
(2005-06-30 09:55)
(and trying to understand wich options oc ./configure are able to co-exist !
;-)
#!/bin/sh
# options de configuration pour Net-snmp-5.2.1.2
.
./configure --prefix=$HOME/net-snmp-5.1.2.2/_local --disable-manuals --disable-scripts
--disable-mibs --disable-mibs-loading \
--disable-des --disable-privacy --disable-md5 \
--with-install-prefix=$HOME/net-snmp-5.2.1.2.2/_install --without-opaque-special-types
--with-default-snmp-version="2" \
--with-out-mib-modules="ucd_snmp agentx" --with-mib-modules="utilities
target" \
--with-sys-location="ou vous voulez" \
--with-logfile=none --with-persistent-directory="/var/net-snmp"
.......
./.libs/libnetsnmptrapd.so Undefined reference to 'run_exec_command'
Leaving Directory /home/jdx/net-snmp-5.2.1.2/apps
..............
N.B. : I already had to get back with --mib-modules="snmpv3mibs utilities
target" for otherwise
it changes at same point for: init_register_usmUser_context()
Is there some unseen dependencies in mib-modules options ?
Next question (for I did not yet find answer for it ,
and if you have trivial answer, thanks).
How may whe configure on an second way,
for just make a new agent with specific modules ?
Well, because it may take a rather long to configure/make/make install..the
whole package
is it possible to launch just a Make for an user-pgms-added programm ?
Even better, would it be possible to launch a restricted configure just to
modify
specific option like: --with-mib-modules="interfSwitch/swNotif
interfSwitch/swConf interfSwitch/swStatus" ?
Thanks for any explanation, that I didn't find in
http://www.freesnmp.com/net-snmp/faqs/
nor http://www.freesnmp.com/net-snmp/faqs/ I discovered today in some sooner
message.
Good Evening to you
