That should be possible, yes.
Although there have been a lot of improvements (both
to the MfD framework, and the agent as a whole) since
then.  So you should seriously consider upgrading to
something newer.

I don't believe that the MfD config template takes any
notice of the -f flag.   (Robert will doubtless correct
me if I'm wrong).    Try without that option.
