Hello, I am almost positive this question has been asked a million times before, so I apologize for raising it again -- searched all the man pages and FAQ lists, to no avail:
I'd like to run snmptrapd in such aways that it *only* acts on properly authenticated SNMPv3 INFORMs. I can create a user just fine and can see any failed auth requests in my syslog (provided I use the -Dusm) flag, but currently my snmptrapd does not distinguish between properly authenticated INFORMs and unauthenticated v1/2c traps. In other words, a traphandle directive for a particular OID will execute whenever a matching trap is received, regardless of SNMP version or authentication status. So, can I configure snmptrapd to either * disregard SNMPv1/2c traps altogether, or * force all trap senders to authenticate? Thanks very much in advance.
