If one particular request takes greater than any of the timeouts required to get the answer, you won't get it. It's that simple. Steve> agentxRetries , agentxPingInterval, agentxTimeout Steve> Do these 3 paramters work properly in version 5.2.1? They should. Does the Steve> current latst version work the same as 5.2.1 in the Steve> area of agentX support? Do u recommend upgrading to Steve> latest version? (my main use of net-snmp is because of Steve> its agentX functionality - I have only 1 MIB, only 1 Steve> sub-agent). 5.2.1 Generally, the later the release number the better the AgentX support. AgentX is one of those things that has only been improving. Some people like to stay on an older release to ensure all the other new things are more stable. But if possible, 5.3.0.1 is likely to be slightly better. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it or not. -- Wes Hardaker Sparta, Inc. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
